The Campaign Trail

Right after mom's passing, Thanksgiving, getting the house ready for new tenants, & Christmas, I went back to work at the State Legislature House of Representatives.  This session was very exciting and went so quickly.  Not many hearings for our committee on higher education, but intense and engaging none the less.

It's work I enjoy. Because after being in a career that used my right brain, being creative and working with things I love such as fabric, color, style, cash flow, and travel, I was forced to be analytical, work nicely with others in an office, commute daily and not dress like a designer anymore.  (what a sentence?!)

Now that session is over and its another election year, I am on the campaign trail.  One day after sine die, the campaign committee began working on sign waving schedule, writing and planning mailers, canvassing, endorsement letters, budget etc.  This is more work than the session was. And we do have an opponent.

We are now seven weeks to election day.  The schedule of daily activities is compressing and hopefully enough to ensure a landslide victory.
